Jay is an Eladrin bard of Satire and one of the founding members of the (formerly Elwood) Round Table Guild. They drifted into Elwood on the day of the guild's creation and assisted with raising funds for the original building. Jay has since resided with the guild for several years, along with their lifelong friend Blue. Jay is seeking legendary instruments for a reason kept to themselves and their dearest friends.

Personality/Appearance

Jay, being an Eladrin, has four somewhat distinct personalities depending on their seasonal state. Despite this, they are usually rather easygoing. Jay is prone to playing harmless pranks on those they deem friends and enjoys raunchy humor. Jay is a shockingly tall being. They tower over most people that they meet and tend to move in very dramatic, flowing movements. They usually keep themselves covered up with one of four odd masks which they own, each displaying a different slightly complex emotion. They tend to lean over a lot, being used to bending down to place things on counters or pick stuff up off of tables. Their hair is very wavy and often combed carefully. Interacting with Jay for the first time feels like a blurry dream. They drift into your life, have a bizarre conversation, then tend to wander off leaving folks wondering if what they experienced actually happened. Frequently garbed in rugged yet fancy traveling clothing, Jay carries a decorated but obsolete bag of holding only containing four instruments.

Spring

While in their spring form, they are lustful for life. Jay genuinely and seriously enjoys being around people, going on city strolls, playing instruments for friends, and spur of the moment decisions. They are known to be generous, caring, forgiving, and loving in spring. their appearance changes to have golden Blond hair, which occasionally sheds some flower petals. They tend to smell like fresh wildflowers, and their skin is rosy and smooth.

Summer

While influenced by summer, Jay is brash, brave, strong willed, and stoic. They are oddly stubborn, and refuses excess and revelry more often than in other seasons. Summer will never break a promise. Is known for being some what scary and unforgiving, but enjoys peace. They also gain warm Red Hair, from which a firefly or two may flit out of it in the evening. They ofthen stare through people rather than at them and their skin is slightly more tan.

Fall

Jay's most common season, they become reflective, merry, and artful. A thoughtful season that tends to take their time on things. Enjoys deep conversations and romance novels. Drinks more openly and tries to pry more into people out of curiosity. Most of the guildhall have only ever seen Jay in their fall form and as such are most familiar with it. Most recorded accounts of Jay's deeds describe them in this form. Their curls turn a dark brown, and quiet moths rest in their clothes. Often smells of warm harvest spices and cider and their skin is flushed and soft.

Winter

Winter is a form in which Jay actively avoids, despite it being necessary for all Eladrin in order to remain stable. Most guildmembers, scholars, and common folk have never seen Jay take this form, however both Bea and Blue have at least once. In this season Jay becomes spiteful, bitter, and depressive. They genuinely dislike being bothered, and while they will bite their tongue near friends, will lash out frequently and use their harsh and violent wit on those who challenge or even just slight them. Will mock foes until death and is weirdly willing to unmask themselves, as it tends to strike fear in people. Prone to sudden bouts of severe depression but will not admit it. Seen with unkempt white/gray hair. Small flakes of ice spin from their body. Their skin is cracked and dry around the knuckles, elbows, and knees. Eyes are a dull black, contrary to the steel blue shown every other season.

Residence

Jay lives on the top floor of Carambola Keep, the home base of The Roundtable Guild, in a small bedroom with their friend Blue.
